At the invitation of West Point Products and Cartridge World, My Tech Guru was asked to participate at the workshops by bringing our knowledge of the basics directly to the Cartridge World franchisees. With over 700 franchisees, Cartridge World's campaign to bring basic laser printer maintenance and repair training to as many store owners as possible led to multiple workshops across America. Similar to other toner products dealers, Cartridge World stores are frequently asked if they can service printers. It is a logical question for the consumer, considering that they already trust the quality and reliability of the consumable products purchased through the locally owned and operated Cartridge World stores. Without training on the basics, these store owners have been left to turn away the basic maintenance and repair inquiries or hire a contractor to service their customers. Either way, the store owner was still missing an opportunity that existed solely because they had already established a relationship with a customer. The hands-on section of the workshop uses the maintenance related issues and parts as the primary focus of the training, as a method of showing the attendees just how simple basic laser printer maintenance and repair can be. By teaching only a small bit of material showing how a laser printer works, providing detailed, but simple service manual instruction, and showing each attendee how to remove and replace common printer maintenance related items the entire process of basic printer maintenance and repair becomes easy enough to master, quickly and efficiently.
